“… Mais une Paris liberée”

70 years ago Paris got back his freedom and met Général De Gaulle. The libération de Paris started on August  19 August 1944 thanks to the uprising of French resistence. Actually the first steps of the liberation process took part already on 15 August 1944 when a started strikes of the Gendarmerie, Métro de Paris, etc. The occupying German garrison surrendered on 25 August 1944 with the signature of the surrender act by Dietrich von Choltitz, commander of the German garrison and military governor of Paris during the nazi occupation.
Pariseuro is proud to be a Parisian association because Paris is a city that does not give up even when it seems that there is no more hope. Pariseuro wants also to remind and to thanks all Parisians who died for our freedom.
